Gaming Releases 2016 Edition!

A third of the year 2016 has already gone by and we have already seen some great Games released.
In this article I will provide you with the, in my opinion, two best games of that particular month. The year didn’t start of very well, as there was no major game release in January. But in February two great games were released.

The first big game release this year was Unravel, a puzzle-platformer developed by Coldwood Interactive and published by Electronic Arts. The game was successfully launched onto the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC on February 9th.
Another major game release was the newest iteration of the Street Fighter series, Street Fighter 5. The 2D-Fighting game is really popular and beloved by the fans of the Sub-Genre. The Game was developed and published by Capcom and released on February 16th for the Playstation 4 and PC.

March was yet another solid month for the gaming community. The game The Division was launched on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC. The First Person Shooter MMO mix-up developed and published by Ubisoft had it reveal two years ago and it sparked a massive hype wave for the game, which led to the successful launch it had.
The other game released in March was the highly anticipated Dark Souls 3. The fourth iteration of the game (counting in Bloodbourne) was yet again a massive success for the Publisher Bandai Namco. The game series is known for the hard challenge the game provides and the anger that is created by it. The game was published on March 24th for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.

The month April brought us back an old classic aswell a some cool new gameplay ideas. Ratched and Clank Remastered. Who can’t remember this awesome classic?
For the people who don’t know, Ratchet and Clank is the perfect mix of an Action-Adventure and a 3D Jump and Run. This game has become an instant classic for the Playstation family from the day of its first released game.
The new Ratchet and Clank called Ratchet and Clank Remastered introduces some new gameplay element, but staying true to the old gameplay. The release was on the 12th of April as a Playstation 4 exclusive.
A few month ago Microsoft announced a new exciting game where the player would be able to manipulate time and space. The game’s called Quantum Break and you play as Jack Joyce in the third person perspective. The not so awesome story is told in real life cut scenes, but to be fair the impressive time manipulating mechanics are more than enough to make this a really good game. Quantum Break was Published by Microsoft on the 5th of April for the Xbox One aswell as the Windows 10 Windows Store.

May came up with another Remake of an instant classic. Doom, again the fourth game in the series is just called Doom and it emphasis on a brutal singleplayer and a fast action arena shooter style multiplayer shooter. The game published by Bethesda will be released in two days of time on the 13th of May for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
The other game for this month is a game which got delayed several times, but now it finally releases. The highly anticipated Playstation 4 exclusive Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Uncharted was always known for the great story telling and the beautiful photo realistic graphics. Uncharted 4 is no exception to that. The game was released just yesterday, so be excited for a review of mine on the game.

Next month will bring us two more awesome games being Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, the second game in the Mirror’s Edge series, and the really interesting No Man’s Sky.
The new Mirror’s Edge will continue where the original left of. The awesome art style and the cool first person free running aswell as some improved shooting sequences. The Game developed by Dice and published by EA will launch the game on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC on the 9th of June. Anyone who played the first game will certainly get Catalyst aswell. For the people who don’t it is really worth a shot.
No Man’s Sky. A really interesting concept. A game set in a procedural generated universe with over 18.446.744.073.709.551.616 planets to be explored. The game will be multiplayer, but an encounter with another player is still unlikely due to the universe being that large. All in all a really interesting concept ready to be released on June 26th for PC and Playstation 4.

Many games for this year have not been confirmed with a concrete release date. Therefore I will sum up the games with known release dates, which are to be released in 2016.
Getting right to the massive games, we have Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Battlefield will play in a WW1 scenario and it will release on October 21st some weeks prior to the release of its rival this years Call of Duty, unlike Battlefield, set in the far future. Want to know more about the rivalry of these particular games check out this article.
On top of that we have two continuations of some famous video game series. Mafia 3 and Dishonored 2.
Dishonored 2 will most likely be built off of the same concepts it predecessor established. The game will launch on the 11th of November and it certainly worth giving it a go if you are a fan of stealth games and own either a Playstation 4, an Xbox One or a PC.
Mafia 3 is the complete opposite of that. The game takes place in New Orleans and it will be focused on a new character Lincoln Clay. The game will continue the story of Mafia 2, as Vito Scaletta, the main character in Mafia 2, will play a huge role as a side character. 2K’s third person shooter will be released on October 7th launching on the Playstation 4, Xbox One and the PC.

That were all the game releasing in 2016 we currently know an exact date of and some details about. As more games get revealed I will update this Article, so check back for some more info on some more awesome games.
