On the 6th of May Battlefield 1 was revealed on YouTube. The video acquired over 31 Million views and 1.6 Million likes, making it the most successful video game reveal of all time. Electronic Arts has done everything right so far, as they met the communities wishes for a World War I setting. The game will most likely be one of the most successful games this year. To nobody’s surprise Electronic Arts announced a new iteration of their famous football simulation FIFA. During the release of EA’s financing report a plan for next years releases was posted. The plan featured many games: Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, NHL 17, NBA Live, Madden 17, Mass Effect Andromeda, Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2. FIFA 17 was also featured in the list and it was set to release in Q2 for EA’s year cycle. A Q2 release would mean a release date between July and September. Due to FIFA 16 release on the 22nd of September, it is really likely that FIFA 17 will release at the end of September. On E3 2014 EA Dice showed off a teaser for Star Wars Battlefront, a reimagination of the two game series developed by Pandemic. Star Wars Battlefront was then released in Q4 of 2015. The game received mixed reviews, due to the game playing well, but the content was lacking quite a bit. With some free updates Dice fixed the issue and Star Wars Battlefront is now a well round out game. There is still content coming for Star Wars Battlefront with free updates and the three expansions, which are to come this and next year. The Season Pass will include a Bespin Expansion, a Death Star Expansion and a mysterious Expansion, which will be announced later this year. With Windows 10 Microsoft implemented their new graphics API (application programming interface) version called DirectX 12. There are not that many games using the new technology so far, as it has not been out for long. The only large games using DirectX 12 are Forza 6 Apex, Arma 3 aswell as DayZ, Hitman, Project Cars, Just Cause 3, Quantum Break and Rise of The Tomb Raider.

On May 4th (Star Wars day) EA made an announcement, that an action adventures is in development under Respawn Entertainment.
The studio already confirmed that they are working on successor of Titanfall called Titanfall 2. The Studio is now working with two separate teams to deliver a First Person Shooter in the style the predecessor established and a third person action adventures in the Star Wars universe.
